Ireland Report / Story
Ethereal Paranormal will be on the GhostÉire show on the 13th of July, 2024 at 9pm, discussing healing, Manor house and Anneliese Michel Exorcisms.

On this show, we’d like to give a warm reception to Caoimhe Stewart and Diane Magee from Ethereal Paranormal Investigators. The group has been newly established, yet they have six years of combined experience in the paranormal field. Caoimhe is founder and lead investigator of the group. Her roles include doing preliminary checks of locations, and ensuring team members are mentally prepared for investigations. As a new team, Caoimhe also offers advice to keen individuals who’d like to join their group on how to use equipment and the do’s-and-don’ts of paranormal investigating. Diane is founder of ‘Soul of Orenda’. She is a qualified Massage Therapist, Reiki Master and Aromatherapist. They have investigated such locations as Spike Island in County Cork, Leap Castle in County Offaly and Crumlin Road Gaol in County Antrim.

At the start of the show, we’ll be delving into the topic of ‘Healing’. The process of becoming healthy again can be achieved by channelling Earth and Life-Force energies, to help heal, unblock and align energy centres in the body. This deepening connection with Spirit and intuition has helped not only on investigations, but afterwards too. We’ll ask Diane and Caoimhe such questions as - when do we know we need healing? And, who or what causes us to feel unwell?

The second segment of the show will feature the ‘Manor House’, situated on Rathlin Island, County Antrim. The Georgian house was built in 1763 by the islands landlord Reverend Robert Gage (1813-1891). The house has been since renovated and is now a hotel and restaurant. Rathlin Island is believed to have seen the first Viking raid at the end of the 8th century, and Robert the Bruce (1274-1329) sought sanctuary on the island after the Battle of Methven in 1306. We’ll ask Caoimhe and Diane about what other stories are rooted in the minds of the island’s community, and their personal experiences of investigating the house.

Close to the end of the evening, we’ll ask Caoimhe and Diane on their opinion of the ‘Anneliese Michel Exorcisms’. Anneliese (1952-1976) was born in Germany. She was raised by her parents Joseph and Anna, who were devoted to the Roman Catholic faith. At the age of sixteen years-old she was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy. She became a student at Wurzburg University at the age of twenty. It was around this time, that her hallucinations became more frequent and she started ‘hearing voices’. Anneliese would later go through the ordeal of sixty-seven exorcisms in the attempt to get rid of six demons in the year leading up towards her death. Afterwards, a pathologist report stated that she had died from malnutrition and dehydration. Her parents, and the two priests involved in performing the exorcisms were charged with negligent homicide.
