As St. Patrick's Day approaches, paranormal enthusiasts and history buffs alike can delve into the otherworldly mysteries of Ireland with the release of Rob Gutro's 11th book, "Ghosts of Ireland on a Medium's Vacation". Scheduled to hit the shelves on February 24, 2024, this addition to Gutro's "Medium's Vacation" series promises readers an immersive journey through Ireland's haunted landscapes.
In this latest installment of the series, Gutro explores the intriguing question of what happens when a medium goes on vacation. Can a medium simply switch off their ability at will? The answer, as Gutro reveals, is not exactly. The book shares his ghostly encounters, historical insights, and even features his sketches of ghosts, providing readers with a unique visual experience. From prisons to castles, churches, and even a shopping mall with a tragic past, Gutro's paranormal escapades offer a diverse and comprehensive exploration of Ireland's supernatural tapestry.
According to Gutro, Cork City Gaol emerged as the most haunted place during his journey through Ireland. "Many prisoners still linger there as earthbound ghosts", Gutro reveals. He encountered eight entities, and the book includes a sketch of one ghost and a photograph capturing a male ghost walking across a sealed off corridor. The cover image of the book itself is a snapshot of this chilling encounter.
Gutro explains,
The book is organised alphabetically by County, guiding readers from Dublin in the east to Galway in the west and south to County Cork. Each section features chapters on the haunted places Gutro visited, creating a paranormal tour guide that blends history, travel, and the supernatural.
Gutro goes on to say,
Gutro emphasises the importance of knowing the history of haunted places, as it is key to understanding why a ghost may choose to stay behind. With a focus on Ireland's rich history, the book provides brief historical backgrounds for each location, offering readers a deeper appreciation for the paranormal encounters Gutro describes.
This release marks the third book in Gutro's "Ghosts on a Medium's Vacation" series, following "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" and "Ghosts of the Bird Cage Theatre on a Medium's Vacation". Gutro's unique approach distinguishes him in his paranormal field, making a clear distinction between earthbound ghosts and spirits who have crossed over.
In addition to his "Medium's Vacation" series, Gutro has two other book series. The award winning "Pets and the Afterlife" series explores how pets communicate from the other side, while the "Ghosts and Spirits" series delves into Gutro's personal experiences with ghosts on paranormal investigations.
Rob Gutro's books, including "Ghosts of Ireland on a Medium's Vacation," are available in both paperback and e-book formats on Amazon.
