Earlier this month, amateur plane trackers Peter and Joshua Solorzano captured footage of an unidentified flying object (UFO) hovering above Air Force One during President Joe Biden's visit to Los Angeles. The incident has sparked widespread speculation about the nature of the mysterious object and whether it has extraterrestrial origins or not.

The Solorzano brothers, who run the YouTube channel L.A. Flights, had set up their equipment at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to film the routine patrol of two F-35 fighter jets accompanying Air Force One. The jets were engaged in mid air refueling by a KC-10 tanker aircraft, providing an unexpected spectacle for the plane spotters.

However, the real surprise came when a white sphere appeared on the footage not once, but three times, prompting questions about its identity and behavior. The first appearance was at 10:18 a.m. local time, moving in the opposite direction above Air Force One. Joshua Solorzano expressed uncertainty, stating, "I'm not too sure what it was." Subsequent sightings at 10:25 a.m. and 11:08 a.m. added to the intrigue.

The uncertainty surrounding the object led to varying reactions from the brothers. Joshua commented that it was "moving around weird," and by the third sighting, he admitted feeling a sense of unease, stating, "I'm kind of scared looking at this."

Despite the excitement generated by the footage, skeptics have emerged to offer alternative explanations. UFO debunker Mick West reviewed the footage and suggested that the object was likely a balloon. West pointed to the apparent motion in the video, attributing it to an illusion caused by the balloon's proximity to the camera relative to the fast moving plane in the background. "It looks like a balloon and moves like a balloon," West said.

The incident has added fuel to the ongoing debate surrounding unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) or UFOs. The Pentagon's Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) office has documented over 500 military encounters with such crafts since 2004. While some instances defy easy explanations, many have been attributed to natural occurrences like unmanned aircraft or weather balloons.

NASA, has entered the fray, hiring a director of UAP research and expressing its intention to continue studying these phenomena due to their potential threat to U.S. airspace. Despite the lack of conclusive evidence supporting extraterrestrial origins for UAPs, the government's continued investigation suggests a commitment to understanding and addressing these encounters.

As the public awaits further analysis and statements from authorities, the incident near Air Force One adds another layer to the complex and enigmatic world of unidentified aerial phenomena. Enthusiasts, skeptics, and researchers will undoubtedly continue to offer diverse perspectives on this intriguing and ongoing phenomenon.
