Paranormal Supernatural Investigations Ireland (PSII) On The Late Late Show, RTE - 27th October 2023
Ghost/Paranormal
Friday 27th, October 2023
Paranormal Supernatural Investigations Ireland we're invited to take part in the Late Late Show on the Friday before Halloween 2023.
Four members of the team from PSII were present when Patrick Kielty had a flying interview, talking with Anthony and Richard from the PSII team.
Kielty starts talking to Anthony, who has an SLS Kinect Camera, clearly identifiable by the first generation Kinect camera bar on the front.
We've talked a fair bit about the SLS Kinect Camera in a recent article, linked at the bottom of this article, 'Spooked Ireland Review - Episode Two - King John's Castle'.
Kielty states he can see 'energy' being picked up on the SLS camera's screen, followed up by Anthony confirming that the SLS camera is picking up energy.
Anthony goes on to explain how the SLS Kinect Camera works and what he believes it does, maybe it was nerves or the pressure of Kielty leaning over Anthony, but Anthony's explanation of what the SLS Kintect Camera does didn't come across very well or give much detail as to what the SLS Kinect Camera does or what paranormal investigators use it for.
Anthony went on to state the following with a giggle or two from the audience,
Kielty moves on swiftly to talk about a supposed image of a ghost captured by the PSII team in Castle Ellen House, Richard jumps in to state that they believe it is a photo of the spirit of Sir Edward Carson, who Kielty goes on to confirm they are talking about the same person.
The guys from PSII stated that they thought the image they captured was similar to an image of Carson, which when was put up on screen, Kielty brushed it off very covertly with the comment "yes, I..I can see what you're saying", followed by another giggle from the audience.
Richard jumps in quickly as the giggles turn into laughter to defend their belief in the image the team captured by stating comparable features on the faces in the two images.
Richard goes on to state, "when an entity is trying to manifest itself, it doesn't exactly look like...the..the person *pause* itself you know".
This is followed by Richard going on to state, "it tries to gather energy to make itself known to us", while in the middle of his sentence there is further laughter from a couple of individuals in the audience.
Kielty then goes on to ask what is the difference between a ghost hunter and a ghost buster, we think that question alone says more than enough to understand that the segment with the guys from PSII was just a filler to wet the audience's appetite in the studio and at home with Halloween only around the corner and that the segment was only ever going to be a gag filler for the majority of those watching based on how the interactions with Kielty and the PSII team went.
Just as Kielty ends the whistle stop interview, he asks the names of the two devices, one being the SLS Kinect Camera, which we cover in the linked article below, and the second being what is called a Phasmatron-GD-2000.
This is the first time we have heard of the Phasmatron-GD-2000, so we did a bit of digging, turns out it is a piece of kit created by PSII in conjunction with a "physic engineer" as stated on their Facebook page. The 'GD' standing for 'Ghost Detector'.
It's stated by PSII to be a "very highly amplified EMF...K2". The idea of the device is stated as being, you point it in an area of interest and then when a blue light goes off on an unconnected/remote box then that is an indication to concentrate the teams focus in that area.
With any device you can't really say much without knowing how the device works and what is contained inside it. In this case we're very interested to know how the handheld device communicated with the remote box which has the blue light, is it by bluetooth, wireless, GSM, basically what other radio signals are being pumped out into the surrounding area and are these signals accounted for with baselines so as to not taint any other devices or experiments.
We have many other questions about the Phasmatron-GD-2000, but those are for another day.
Overall, fairplay to PSII for taking the opportunity to go on national television (it's not an easy task) to shed some light on the Irish paranormal community but we fear the guys were doomed before evening setting foot in the studio and weren't given the respect that you would give anyone in their position talking about a taboo subject or any subject for that matter.
Running at just under 3 minutes for the PSII segment, on a show that gave Daniel O'Donnell and Ricky Tomlinson more time to talk about testicles, well we'll leave that for you to ponder.
Did the segment on the Late Late Show with the guys from Paranormal Supernatural Investigations Ireland (PSII) do more good or damage to the paranormal community... we'll leave that up to each of you to make your own mind up on.

Phasmatron-GD-2000, we have been working closely with a physic engineer to make this device possible. One investigation used and it is getting results
