An explosion blew out the front and part of the roof of a multi-floored building at a service station in Creeslough, County Donegal today, the 7th of October 2022.

There have been many injured individuals taken to hospitals around the country as well as, unfortunately some confirmed fatalities. The initial assumption is that it was a gas explosion but has yet to be confirmed.

Gas related explosions like the one suspected of occurring in Creeslough are rare enough in Ireland, with only a handful over the years throughout the Island of Ireland.
