Nóra Quoirin's Parents Settle Lawsuit Over Social Media Comments In Relation To The Disappearance Of Their Daughter

A lawsuit taken by the parents of Nóra Quoirin against Anne Brennan, a retired solicitor over Facebook posts in relation to the disappearance of their daughter has been settled.
The proceedings related to a number of unproven theories and statements made by Ms Brennan in posts she made on Facebook in 2019 following the disappearance of Nóra while on holiday in Malaysia.
Facebook was also sued which has also been settled.
Anne Brennan has said as part of the settlement she had given an undertaking to never comment online again about the Quoirin family or the disappearance of Nóra.
In a number of posts made by Ms Brennan which were critical of the procedures adopted by the police in Malaysia which were rejected by a senior police officer.
Ms Brennan has said, "I am relieved it is over," as well as, "I will never mention them or their case on social media ever again.".
According to Ms Brennan the settlement did not involve her paying any compensation and each side will cover their own legal costs.
