Monkeypox Latest Update from Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) - 16th June 2022

There are now 14 confirmed cases of monkeypox in Ireland the HPSC has said which is up from 9 since the last update from the HPSC on the 10th of June 2022.
Again the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) has stated that the cases are not unexpected following the presence of monkeypox cases in the UK and many European countries.
The Public Health teams are following up each case and contacting close contacts of confirmed cases where required.
