Hepatitis of Unknown Cause in Children Latest Update from Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) - 15th June 2022

There are 14 probable cases of hepatitis in children of unknown cause since March, this is one additional case since the last update from the HPSC on the 8th of June 2022.

The number of cases seen currently is more then would be typically seen over this period of time. There are still no known links between each case within Ireland.

There is also still no known single virus that has been seen in all cases and investigations continue.
