One New Probable Case of Hepatitis in Children of Unknown Origin in Ireland

Since the 13th of March 2022 there have been 13 probable cases of hepatitis in children with unknown cause within Ireland and a small number of cases which are under investigation. This is an increase of one probable case since the 2nd of June 2022.
The number of cases seen currently is more then would be typically seen over this period of time. There are still no known links between each case within Ireland.
There is also still no known single virus that has been seen in all cases and investigations continue.
