Flight Turns Back After Passengers Receive Photos of Plane Crashes

A flight from Israel to Turkey was forced to return to the gate after passengers on the plane started to receive photos of plane crashes on their personal phones.
The AnadoluJet passenger plane was taxiing at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport when the passengers started to receive plane crash photos.
Passengers that received the images informed flight crew and the pilot made a decision to turn back to the gate to have the issue investigated.
Following an investigation nine suspects have been identified and described by police as Israeli citizens. These nine individuals could be prosecuted fir disseminating false information the IAA said. This offence if convicted carries a maximum of three years in an Israeli prison.
In a statement released the police said, "The nine ... are suspected of broadcasting images of an air disaster on the plane, causing panic and delaying the plane's departure by several hours,".
"All nine suspects are being questioned by police,” they said, going on to add that the offence could be interpreted as a "terrorist threat".
It has been reported that the nine individuals detained by police used the iPhone AirDrop feature to send the plane crash images to passengers on the plane.
