Ireland Report / Story
Kilcummin, Co. Kerry - A quiet Christmas evening turned mysterious for two residents of Kilcummin, County Kerry, Ireland, when they witnessed a series of unexplained lights moving erratically across the sky.

The sighting occurred on the 25th of December 2024 at approximately 6:09 PM local time. The observers, a father and son, described seeing lights resembling stars that began moving suddenly, then stopping and starting again in an unusual manner.

The primary witness, who reported the event, stated,
"I noticed one of what I believed to be stars in the sky moving all of a sudden. I pointed it out to my dad, and we began observing it. Then it stopped dead in its tracks. Maybe five seconds later, more of the stars began moving. It was here we realised these weren’t stars."

According to the report, four to five white lights were seen at an estimated altitude of several thousand metres, moving at speeds exceeding that of a commercial aircraft, estimated to be over 1,000 km/h. Despite their rapid movement, the lights made no sound.

The observer continued,
"The one that stopped then began moving once again, and I counted four while my dad counted five of these white lights moving quickly across the sky until they vanished into thin air one by one. This left us very confused and scared."

The witnesses have not reported the incident to authorities but are considering contacting organisations that investigate aerial phenomena.
