This Halloween season, Ireland became a veritable playground for paranormal enthusiasts, as ghost hunters from near and far flocked to its ancient castles and haunted sites. Armed with high tech gadgets and a sense of spine tingling adventure, investigators spent the days leading up to Halloween and some even afterwards seeking to unravel the secrets of the country's most famously haunted locations.
Emerald Isle Paranormal Researchers were stationed at Ardgillan Castle over the spooky season, a stately home overlooking the Irish Sea. Known for its tales of a ghostly “Lady in White” and cold, shadowy halls that echo with spectral whispers, the castle proved to be the perfect venue for a night of ghost hunting. With ghostly legends stretching back centuries, Ardgillan continues to intrigue those brave enough to visit after dark.
Haunted Scotland, also known as Scottish Paranormal, descended on Ireland for a series of Halloween investigations. Their journey was orchestrated by Mai Hernon and her team at Secret Ireland Tours LLC. With Chris Fleming unable to join, seasoned paranormal investigator Dave Schrader stepped in, bringing his signature energy to the trip.
Their expedition took them to various eerie sites featured in Spooked Ireland or Haunted Ireland, depending on where viewers are in the world. Guiding them was on some locations was Jenny Sullivan from Emerald Isle Paranormal Researchers, who led the group to locations brimming with ghost stories and supernatural lore.
One of the locations saw Cork Supernatural Society attend the investigation at Deerpark school which has had a number of reported paranormal incidents.
Púca Paranormal had a busy season, joining forces with Mysterious Adventures Tours to explore Redwood Castle and Leap Castle. Grant Wilson and Reanna Wilson, known for their appearances on Ghost Hunters, participated in these spooky tours/investigations.
Redwood Castle, with its medieval architecture and whispered stories of long dead inhabitants, hosted the team for one of these investigations. Meanwhile, Leap Castle, dubbed one of Europe’s most haunted places, delivered its own share of eerie encounters. Stories of violent hauntings, hidden dungeons, and the infamous “Bloody Chapel” have always made Leap a favourite for ghost hunters. Púca Paranormal also featured in a Pat Kenny Show segment titled Ireland’s Haunted Destinations and Houses, sharing tales of ghostly encounters and the inexplicable.
Meanwhile, Púca Vogue Paranormal Investigations Ireland, working with Witness Ireland, hosted three nights of ghost hunting at Redwood Castle. Their investigations yielded a collection of chilling findings, disembodied voices, Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVPs), and alarms being triggered.
Also at Leap castle, over Halloween was Paranormal Adventures Ireland who ran a public investigation at this history soaked location with reports of attendees experiencing some of their own paranormal activity.
Anthony Kerrigan of GhostÉire gave an interview to Joleen Murphy for The Sunday Grill on Beat 102 103. He discussed an upcoming study set to unfold at the Irish Wake Museum in County Waterford. Merging traditional séance techniques with modern scientific data collection, the project will examine everything from sudden drops in temperature to changes in wind speed, in hopes of better understanding Ireland’s ghostly phenomena.
Rounding off the season, Supernatural Paranormal Investigations Ireland were featured on RTE on Halloween day, conducting an atmospheric investigation at Kinnitty Castle. Known for its ghostly legends and stories of resident spirits like “Monk of Kinnitty”, the castle’s eerie past provided the perfect setting for a Halloween feature.

This year, Halloween in Ireland was more than a celebration of the strange and unusual, it was a reminder of the country’s deep rooted connection to the mystical and unexplained. As the investigators packed away their equipment and returned to the safety of daylight, the question remained, Were the spirits of Ireland truly at rest, or were they simply waiting for the next visitor brave enough to venture into the dark?
