The Pascagoula Abduction is the latest show in The Close Encounters Podcast by the Northern Ireland UFO Society (NIUFOS). In this show the host Chris McMurray talks the Pascagoula Abduction is a well-known UFO encounter that took place on the night of October 11, 1973, in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Two men, Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker, were fishing along the Pascagoula River when they experienced something that would later become one of the most widely reported alien abduction cases in history.
As Hickson and Parker sat along the riverbank, they noticed a strange buzzing sound and saw a glowing craft, approximately 30 to 40 feet in length, descending from the sky. The object hovered above the ground, and from it, three strange, humanoid creatures emerged. The beings, described as having gray, wrinkled skin and claw-like hands, reportedly approached the men, rendering them immobile. Both men claimed to have been floated aboard the craft by the entities, where they underwent some form of examination. Hickson described feeling paralyzed but conscious, while Parker claimed to have fainted from fear during the event.
After the encounter, the men found themselves back on the riverbank, and the craft had disappeared. They immediately reported the incident to the local sheriff's office, where their visibly shaken condition was noted. Initially, law enforcement was skeptical, but when the two men were secretly recorded while alone in a room, their continued expressions of fear and confusion added credibility to their story.
The case attracted significant media attention, and the men underwent several investigations, including polygraph tests, hypnosis, and psychiatric evaluations. Over the years, while Parker largely avoided the public eye, Hickson remained outspoken about their experience. Despite the skepticism surrounding UFO encounters, the Pascagoula abduction remains one of the most detailed and discussed UFO incidents, with both men maintaining the truth of their account until their deaths.
